ABOUT GRIEF COACHING SUPPORT
It is your Grief Coach’s intention to compassionately companion you in your grief and provide a safe space for you to mourn.
Grief Coaching Support focuses on present challenges you are having surrounding grief. Depending on what you choose to discuss in your session, support may include topics such as exploring the impact of loss on your life, ways to rebuild meaning in your life, discussing various mind-body techniques that support well-being, identifying and creating strategies to achieve life goals, learning expert information about grief and exploring ‘what’s next’.
Grief is not a mental health condition but a natural reaction to loss. Grief Coaching Support is NOT Advice, Counseling, Analysis or Therapy and is not intended as a diagnosis, treatment, substitute or cure for any condition.
You understand that you are the expert in your life and are responsible for all of your own decisions, actions, feelings and bringing about any change. You understand that grief coaching support is a comprehensive process that may involve all areas of life and acknowledge that deciding how to handle these issues, incorporate grief coaching support into those areas, and implementing any choices is exclusively your responsibility. You understand that our sessions are not to be used as a substitute for professional advice by other qualified professionals.

Grief Support
I reserve the right to refuse services if I deem grief coaching support is not an appropriate fit for the Individual.
If you are currently in therapy or otherwise under the care of a mental health professional, it is your responsibility to consult with your provider regarding the advisability of working with a Grief Coach and that this person is aware of your decision to proceed with the grief coaching support relationship.
If any mental health difficulties arise during the course of our session(s), your Grief Coach should be notified immediately so that appropriate steps can be discussed.

SERVICES
Services will be provided to the Individual after the Terms & Conditions are acknowledged and payment for Service is received.
Please select your preferred mode of communication for your session (i.e., phone, video call, chat etc.) when booking your session. If a mode of communication isn’t working properly, we will continue the session via another mode.

CALL PROCEDURE
Once your session is booked, please contact Heidi at the prearranged time as scheduled. If any charges are incurred associated with the call, it is your responsibility to pay for those charges.

APPOINTMENT RESCHEDULING, LATENESS AND CANCELLATIONS
You may cancel or reschedule a session 24 hours or more in advance, otherwise you will be charged for the missed session. If you do not provide at least 24 hours notice in advance, you are responsible for full payment of the missed session.
Lateness does not alter the session fee or the ending time of the session.

CONFIDENTIALITY
You and your Grief Coach agree to two-way confidentiality. Recordings of sessions are not allowed.
You can, at any point in the grief coaching support session, declare your preference not to discuss a specific issue, by simply stating that you would rather not discuss this issue. Your Grief Coach agrees to respect this boundary and will not attempt to forward the conversation further along those lines.

Grief Support
All information in the sessions is confidential except as required by law or there is a compelling reason for its disclosure (i.e., intent to harm, report of abuse, etc.) and is necessary to prevent foreseeable imminent harm to you or another. In the event of a medical emergency or an emergency involving a threat to your safety or the safety of others, please call 911 or the appropriate emergency service to request assistance. If you are in crisis, dialing 988 will connect you to the 24/7 National Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and to immediate support and resources.

GRIEF COACH AVAILABILITY
Please feel free to ask questions at any time.
Written contact between sessions is welcome through Messenger or oaklyngrief@outlook.com, however most issues will be addressed within the regularly scheduled sessions.
